About us & what we do in short.

Everest Science Center Nepal (ESCN) is a charitable trust registered under the government of Nepal (regd no. 1414) in the year 2008. It was primarily estd(2001) as a private independent organisation. It is the first and only one of its kind throughout the country.

We are focused on providing Scientific knowledge with the help of easy-to-understand demonstrations. We present science as recreation to the public.

Our low cost hands-on exhibits create a level of interest among the visitors. We make Science and Technology accessible to the public with the help of exhibits, demonstration shows and workshops.

A seven minutes insight to ESCN

Picnic Spot

Shanti Ban is a recreational hub for visitors who come looking for peace. It is a beautiful garden of seasonal flowers. It houses all facilities needed for picnic.

Boating

We have a private canal around Shantiban which is used for boating. As a part of Shantiban, visitors who come to picnic can enjoy a short boating ride around the Picnic Spot.

Planetarium

We have introduced Nepal's first inflatable portable planetarium and have set out to educate people , esp. the school children and teachers of rural areas about stars.

Bigyan Mela

Once in a year we organize a science fair(Bigyan Mela) in ESCN, which goes on for a week. It attracts hundred of visitors from the places nearby. Participants are mostly school children representing their school.

Exclusive

We represented Nepal in the Slovenian Science Festival. This was our first participation outside the country.
